General Information - Rhema Bible Training Center

RHEMA Bible Training Center Singapore (RBTCS) is a non-accredited vocational training school that offers a two-year Diploma Program in Christian Education. RBTCS has chosen to be a non-accredited institution because of the specific focus on practical training for ministers.

Our curriculum emphasizes the academic as well as the practical aspects of Christian education and ministry. The RBTCS staff has prayerfully designed the training center curriculum to offer you well-balanced subjects in the areas of Bible, Theology and Ministry.

RBTCS’ unique curriculum focuses on the total growth of the Christians in their doctrines, conduct and service. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you to be well-rounded, Christ-like and productive servant-leader in God’s Kingdom who apply the unchanging biblical principles in a rapidly changing world.

RBTCS’ curriculum also focuses on the development of your awareness and understanding of the problems of the real world and to find solutions to them from God’s Word. You will be equipped with the knowledge of God’s Word, godly attitudes and skills appropriate to the challenges and opportunities in the Lord’s harvest field.

Upon completion of the full requirements of the two-year program, you will be presented with the Diploma in Christian Education.

Campus:

The campus of RHEMA Bible Training Center Singapore (RBTCS) is located at Paya Lebar Methodist Church, 5 Boundary Road, Singapore 549954

At present, RBTCS has a capacity to enroll a total of 120 full-time and 30 part-time students. The classroom facilities consist of 3 lecture rooms.

Faculty:

RBTCS has 8 instructors who have been in full-time ministry for many years; some have served as missionaries, pastors, church leaders, and/or teachers, etc. All of them are practitioners of the faith in their respective local churches. RBTCS instructors are themselves graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center (US) or RBTCS. They are committed to carry the message of faith and love, to maintain excellent standards of ministry and to teach and train men and women, by precept and by example, to become effective ministers and leaders in their churches, community and nation.

The student-teacher ratio is currently 10:1. Instructors are available to answer questions concerning lessons taught. Students may make an appointment with the Dean if they have any queries regarding school-related issues.

Fall Semester 2006: 14 August to 1 December 2006
Spring Semester 2007: 8 January to 11 May 2007

School Holidays
Christmas Break: 4 December 2006 to 5 January 2007
Chinese New Year Break: 19 - 23 February 2007
Spring Break: 12 - 16 March 2007

Classes are conducted only in English and held everyday from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 9:00 am to 12.30 pm except Tuesday when it will end at 1.00 pm.

Student Grievance Procedure

If the issue or problem concerns spiritual or personal guidance/ counseling, the student will be directed to his/ her local church to receive pastoral counseling.

If the issue or problem is school-related and/or pertains specifically to a class (eg. seating arrangements), the student is to request an appointment with the Dean, by submitting a Request for Consultation form. 2 days later, the student should contact RBTCS Office to receive an appointment time and date.

In the event that a solution is not found and the complaint remains unresolved, RBTCS will inform the student to refer the complaint to CASE.
