QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Following are the answers to our most frequently asked
questions from prospective international students.
1. The amount listed in the FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS section
only covers tuition for nine months. The amount does NOT
include living expenses, food expenses, travel expenses
or visa/student pass fees. This amount is for ONE school
year. As RBTCS does NOT offer scholarships or sponsorships,
we strictly abide by the amounts stated in the enclosed
letter. You may leave your funds in a banking facility
in your home country as long as you are able to access
your funds, as needed, while in Singapore.
2. RBTCS is a two-year ministry training program commencing
in 30th August and concluding in end May of each year.
RBTCS has one semester break in the month of December.
However, a student may not enter RBTCS after the August
registration date for the current school year.
3. RBTCS is not a college or university, and is not accredited.
RBTCS does not accept transfers of credits from other Bible
schools.
4. Upon completion of one year of training, students receive
a Certificate in Christian Education. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
MUST SUBMIT ANOTHER FINANCIAL DOCUMENT UPON APPLYING FOR
THEIR SECOND YEAR OF TRAINING. Upon completion of the second
year, the student will receive a Diploma in Christian Education.
5. RBTCS does not have dormitories. You will therefore
be responsible for obtaining housing and childcare when
you arrive in Singapore. We suggest you plan to spend one
or two nights in a hotel until you can secure housing.
6. Singapore has a very good public transportation system.
Therefore, it is possible to live in Singapore and not
purchase an automobile.
7. We strongly suggest you procure health insurance in
your home country, and check to be sure you are covered
while attending school in Singapore. You will be required
to have health insurance coverage while you are a student
at RBTCS.
8. Although RBTCS does not require the T.O.E.F.L. English
language test, there will be many tests, reading assignments,
term papers and speaking assignments required within a
limited amount of time. You MUST be proficient in both
speaking and writing the English language to attend school
in Singapore.
